I was recently contacted by Quicken Loans to refinance to what seemed to be a better interest rate than what i already had. I got sucked into the same scheme as others and I only wish I had visited this web site before hand. It was the same routine, fill out the application, give up your credit card and $400 for the commitment and appraisal. The process went forward and one day before closing they found an excuse for more documentation and finally a reason for not closing the loan. They kept the $400 deposit and to this date, i have not heard a word from Quicken Loans. This is truly a scam and I'm pissed ! 129c374

Glad I found this site. I called quicken for a quote. Everything went fine over the phone but they would not quote me a rate. The loan officer did not want to put anything in an emai - he wanted me to write down what he said over the phone. Alarm bells started going off. Then he wanted the $500 credit card payment "good faith" charged right away over the phone. The pressure started going up. I knew something wasn't right and found this site on my lunch ourh. I'm glad I did. Quiken is not getting my money. I'm contacting a local broker next.
