Went to do a refi with Quicken. I had to pay 500 upfront as deposit". They then took more than 30 days to close and as a result I lost my rate lock and
incentives offered by the lender/. Because of this I did not close!. They refused to refund any of the deposit despite the fact that they failed to close the loan in time and it cost me incentives and a loss of my rate". The delay was due to third parties dragging their feet, but the
consequence was I had to pay for it - they would not share in any of the cost:. I am in the process of closing with another lender'. The worst part of the Quicken experience was that they have
customer relations call you as though there is a chance to get back some of the deposit, but all he did was reiterate the terms of the deposit|. Incidentally, when you sign the terms, note that Quicken can basically change the terms of everything and you are still liable to close with them or you're out 500;. Nice policy. 129cab7
