Poor Personal Service

Still stalling, 144 days and counting

I am on day 143 of my loan. The loan is for $260,000 and it appraises for $550,000. Everything has been done including the survey, now after 140+ days I am being told that they need more documents. I have been approved 3 times then they say oh wait we need this and this. This is not my first rodeo I have refinanced before, but Quicken loans keeps stalling hoping to find something they can change or cancel the loan. They do not do what they say and for as far as I am concerned, they are using false advertisement. I think they just bring on new clients to be able to look good for their investors. By the way my credit score was 800+ when this all started.

Failure to handle VA Streamlined Refinance

Quicken was an absolute disgrace in the handling of our VA Streamlined Refinance. Even after doing business with them for 10 years and multiple homes, we were handled like someone with a sub-500 credit score. They downloaded our Chase accounts and disregarded them. Instead, they claimed my wifes small hobby business was our sole financial support. When asked, their resolution specialist stated, well, we dont look at everything you give us. This VA Refi requires no income verification. Add to that the failure to return calls, outright lies about closing dates and documentation, we ceased doing business with you. Our refi with another company was 19 days, application to close, just like it should be not 6 plus weeks. One is left to think, perhaps being retired, we were just too old for you to be interested. Another reason escapes me.

User's recommendation: Pursue multiple lenders for the quickest refi.

PREDATORY / Loan shark style funding

Asked to get some 20k from my equity in the home previously financed by QL, just to meet out my financial hardships during Covid 19 phase, they came back with an offer to fund me 20k but asking for 5000 fee. What a shame, my own money with them, and to get it I have to 5000 as fee

NTalked to a person o 9-9-20 Wednesday Shea Gillis. 480 548 ****. # 84037 She said she would call me on Thursday at 2pm No call........no text.........even after I texted her.. Is she a robot .... Terrible response time

I was made and offer to refinance my home and their sales team called me constantly about it. I finally agreed to it and they rushed me to pay some refinance fee. I gave them my credit card and expected the refinance to close soon after. But after I paid it was crickets. Not a word. I submitted all the documents they needed and paid the fee and then they disappeared for two months. I had to call and email almost 6 times before someone finally told me they were missing a piece of information. Had I not called who knows how long might have passed. After all this they are making me resubmit all the information because THEY took too long and my documents apparently are no longer applicable. Its amazing how their sales team is so available but the customer service team is impossible to reach.

Unhappy with closing fees and delayed closing and treatment after closing

My closing costs were almost triple what I expected. My time to close was delayed because of the pandemic through no fault of my own. I was sent a total of 4 closing disclosures with each one higher points than the other. I was told my closing cost was minus my down payment. When I asked for clarification I was told that was already explained to me before. When I received the statement of closing fees my mortgage broker was on vacation when I called to question it. I figured it was a huge mistake. Not! This was all done the same week as my closing, knowing I was in a hurry to close. After closing they are still hassling me for more information. I have excellent credit and have been teaching for 16 years. Whats to question? Idk. All this happening on my first day back to work, which they were well aware of. I was a previous customer for refinance for ten years. Never again!!!! Very shady stuff going on right before closing and after!!!!! Watch out and stay clear. Use someone local instead of a distant company who takes no responsibility for their mistakes. Very unethical.

Refinance disaster

Applied for refinancing with Quicken in June 2020. Parties involved both had close to 800 credit score. It is now August 25, 2020,and they won't even answer the phone from us. They keep pushing the closing back and making excuses as to why a closing date has not been set. Customers are only a number when it comes to Quicken. I wish I had gone with my local bank where I feel more personal. When it's time to talk with someone at this company, all you can do is leave a message. I want my $500 back that I paid to put in this application. I don't ever want to hear about this company; I will NOT recommend them to anyone.

Endless Spam

They could give out free money and I still wouldn't do business with them. The endless spam and unsolicited contacts are annoying enough I have to actively block them. It's good to see that they are also poorly reviewed. I would expect nothing less from such a scammy marketer.

Poor customer service

This company is all sweetness and light until your loan closes, We refinanced a Quicken Loan with a new Quicken Loan. They were supposed to pay off a credit card two weeks after we closed I had to follow up and nothing had been done, eventually they did take care of it but if I hadn't contacted them nothing would have been done. we closed on the 20th of the month I forgot to stop the automatic bank payment on the first, Quicken first told me a check would be sent to me in 10 days, 12 days later they are telling me it will be another week before they issue a check even though they acknowledge they are not entitled to the money.

Bad Bad Bad Business their mistake becomes yours

PleasSad Sad Sad Buyer please read before even deciding to use Rocket, Quicken or what ever they want to call themselves. So I start a refinance on my house and was concern on some of the things I was hearing. One question I asked was this to Jeff M I will give all the names I worked with just let me know. I said I heard that quicken starts the process then when you are almost there they start to change things are just drop you application. I was told no they would never do this and to look at all the positive feedback. I said did you read the negative feedback and Jeff says yes but all issues were addressed. Guess what they did. I have received no call no emails nothing at all on my account it said you have no to do items we will let you know if we need anything from you. So I had an appraisal all paperwork in everything nothing from quicken loan nothing let me say this again nothing. Then last night I get this email. " Hi Kenneth, Even though things didn't work out, you can still view your appraisal on Rocket Mortgage. Please note that your account for your loan ending in 00000 will close in 90 days, so you'll need to download your appraisal if you want to save it. We appreciate the opportunity to work with you. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us. So nothing no explanation nothing so I started calling and emailing so this Jeff M calls me after no contact the whole time he calls says sorry not your fault it should of never got dropped. So did I say he said not my fault yes I did. Then this we will need to start another application process that will include everything you just did and the mortgage rate is based onto todays time. So not my fault was told this by more then Jeff and now the customer has to pay for the mistake they said they made. So do not I say do not did I say do not believe when they say how important the customer is and how they go out of their way to make sure all is taken care of. Did I say that they told be that it was not their fault and that I did not document them saying that. O yes they say they were on a recorded line also how much they lost the recording saying it was not my fault. So I say even though they promise all this great stuff, They promise to take care of you, They say that the negative feedback is untrue I am tilling you by experience that all the negative feedback is true. Its almost like they are doing bait and switch and trying to make it ok. Please do research before I thought I was in good hands but come to find out that I did not have what Quicken says they stand for holding me up.

Unhappy customer

I went through a lengthy process and paid $500 up front for an appraisal and furnished my abstracts to the local abstract company. Supposedly, things were getting closer to a closing and some lady called from Quicken and said I would need to repair steps from my back patio door before closing. I did not agree with their request and told them that there was nothing wrong with the steps and that they were safe and refused to take any further action. Over a year later I started searching for my abstracts at my local abstract company and said they did not have them and that Quicken had ordered them sent to a title company on Broken Arrow, OK. I spent 3 days and several phone calls and finally found my abstracts at an attorney's office in Garland, TX. I could not get my abstracts returned without having to pay an invoice for $278. Quicken Loan did all of this and if you don't ever close with them they just drop everything and forget about getting your abstracts returned to their clients. I would not recommend ever dealing with Quicken on a loan application.

Terrible service

They told me we could refi my mortgage in 15 20 days on May 5th so I gave them 500$ in good faith. Here I am on July-23 waiting on hold again cause no one has hardly done anything for this refi. No one calls communicates in any form. I send the people emails that I have been given to work with and they will respond with the same hold ups every time and its not me it the, holding the whole thing up.

Horrible service and incompitence

This is the worst loan company out there. Their customer service and competence of job duty should be written as a textbook of "How to not do business". A simple home refinance that they said would take 3 weeks still is not completed after 4.5 months. They do not return calls, they are completely disorganized, and they lack any compassion toward the customers' situation. Their organization is a scam and you should avoid doing business with them at all costs.
